Our new songs are finally here. You can hear them on our music page and our myspace player. The songs are Solitaire, Inverness and Tug of War. There is another in the pipeline called hullabaloo but thats not quite finished yet. The songs are available to buy through our 7 digital store.

We're playing in Nice n Sleazys in May with Ghosts of Progress and Manor Park Elite. There's no tickets for this one but it will be £4 on the door instead. It'll be a good chance to check out some new bands in Scotland

We're playing the Kerrang Breakthrough Tour in King Tuts this Sunday with our new drummer Mike.
The other bands on the bill are The Mexicolas, Spider Simpson and My Alamo. The Mexicolas especially are an awesome band.

We've added a frantic jukebox to download on the frantic album page. It features all the songs of frantic with their lyrics. It's a good way to hear our songs for free in mp3 form.

We're playing in Stornoway on the 19th of August at the "Trees in the Park" concert. I think there is going to be about 15 local bands playing. Info on tickets when i get it.

We're going into the studio tomorrow to record some new songs. The songs we're recording are On The Verge, Egg Shells and Telepathy.

History of the Band
Your Scarecrow started making rock music in 2001 The forming members being (myself) Calum Macleod /Vocals, Derek Campbell /Drums and Duncan Kennedy /Bass. All from Lewis in the Outer hebrides of Scotland we brought influences from bands such as Pearl Jam, Counting Crows, Live and Better than Ezra. This line up lasted over two years and in that time we recorded a number of the songs that turned up on our debut album "frantic the rant". Since then Jamie Gatensby, /Bass and Calum Angus Macarthur /Drums have both joined and left the band but they both contributed to some scarecrow live favourites such as "frantic" and "wind tracks". The current line up includes Mike /Drums and Jonathan /Bass.
I had always said that I wanted to wait until I had some money behind the band to fund our first album but you can only spend so much time waiting on the music powers that be. So we decided on a more independent approach to get our new music recorded and available to the public. Our debut was released in 2006 and distributed by Turmic records in Sweden. 11 songs from the first five members of the band.
Our new album is slowly coming together. We've got five songs finished and the rest are being plotted. When they're done we'll be selling them through itunes, emusic and plenty others. You can sign up to our mailing list above and we'll keep you updated.

Band Update - what's going on
We have been writing and recording new songs over the last couple of years. By we I mean myself, Mike and Jon. At themoment however Mike and Jon are off doing there own thing in other bands. Im looking forward to finishing this second album so I'm going to try and get it finished between myself and Derek who was playing at the last gig. There are 3 songs, "Solitaire", "Inverness" and "Tug of War" recorded already and available on the music page and another "Hullabaloo" currently being mixed.
