Fireside

Fireside have been a major influence on Your Scarecrows sound and approach to songwriting. Here's a brief history and some recommended listening.

Band History

Fireside are a band who first came to light in the Swedish hardcore scene of the early Nineties. In 1994 they released their debut album Fantastic Four and ended up on the Loppalooza tour in the States. They won a grammy in Sweden for their album "Do not Tailgate" and had a big hit with a song of that album called "Kilotin" which was the first song that I heard of them. It's a good place to start when getting into their music.

Another highly recommended album is Uomini d'onore which is a great heavy rock album. Their last album "Get Shot" is a big shift in sound from all of their previous work. It's more of a pop album and a great one at that. It was released back in 2004 and they haven't recorded anything since. Hopefully they'll make some more music at some point. In the meantime the Singer Kristofer Astrom is putting out some great solo albums.
